I absolutely love this fabric from which my fantastic curtain maker has made up into a Roman blind for my lovely clients in Farnham (part of an ongoing project). The colours and pattern work perfectly in their son’s bedroom (and I love his collection of planets on his window cill!).

So pleased with how this study / dressing room has worked out.
With so many people now working from home, this is the perfect time to pay attention to your working space - how does it feels to work in and does it work from a functional point of view? And with so many online meetings now taking place, does it provide the right backdrop and reflect your professional approach in business?
Going for a strong wall colour can be daunting but it can totally transform what could otherwise be rather a bland and purely functional space.
Green is a great colour for a study. Sitting in between the calming cool blues and the stimulating warm oranges and reds on the colour wheel, green is a balancing colour, promoting harmony, perfect for helping to ease stress.
The fitted wardrobes and shelving here provide a sophisticated and organised backdrop for all those online meetings!

I had the pleasure of attending Summer Show preview last night. Sue never disappoints with the quality of art work she sources, with a great mix of contemporary sculpture, ceramics and paintings to suit a range of budgets, all beautifully displayed in her amazing home and stunning garden.
If you are looking for a unique piece of artwork to compliment your home, I thoroughly recommend a visit or speaking directly to Sue. Her summer show is open daily for the next two weeks at Farringdon Place, Upper Farringdon.
Here are some of my favourite pieces on display by .christine

I literally cannot express how much I love these curtains!! I first used this stunning fabric for curtains and Roman blinds with a client around 10 years ago and have wanted my own curtains in the same fabric ever since then! The wait has been so worth it!
Interlined and blackout lined, I opted for a “cottage pleat” heading and slightly over lengthened hem for a cosy, informal look. Made by a very talented local curtain maker AJ Soft Furnishings (not on Social Media). Finished off on a painted pole with acorn finials. I had these tie backs from our old home and think I will put them up properly in due course as the curtains are so thick and sumptuous, they would benefit from being pulled back from the windows.
The fabric also works beautifully with the paint work Mizzle.
Personal projects aside, my London project is almost completed and I have been busy working on a couple of small projects locally. One sitting room and one tricky hallway where we are planning quite a dramatic colour scheme!

Thank you to my lovely clients in Wandsworth who has sent me these photos of their transformed dining room. This design was largely inspired by the beautiful flamingo paintings that my client had recently purchased. Lucky for me as blues and pinks are my absolute favourite and I loved working alongside my client in sourcing the paint colours and fabrics for the blind, window seat, dining chairs and cushions.
I was delighted to be able to use some of my favourite independent British fabric designers. From her fantastic and versatile new fabric collection, we used for the window seat and dining chairs, piped in pretty in Fuchsia. The blinds and pink cushions are in whose joyful and colourful fabrics are a delight. And finished off with the blue cushions in lovely whose fabrics I adore.
Having also re-tiled the kitchen in a pink herringbone pattern, we are now sourcing some suitable upholstery fabric for two pretty antique armchairs.

She sits beautifully on our mantle piece and I love how we can see her fragmented back in the mirror.

Some of you may know that in addition to running my interior design business, I also paint. This is one of my pen and ink / watercolours that I picked up from my fantastic framer at The Frame Shed, Guildford on Friday. Lucy has done such a wonderful job with this and the four other pictures of mine she also framed. Choosing the right frame (and crucially the mount) can be the make or break of a painting. Thank you Lucy!
Gold star for anyone who can tell me what this view is of?!

Lovely afternoon spent browsing through the treasure trove that is and picked up a beautiful old county map of Hampshire. Then enjoyed a delicious lunch at their new restaurant and a good catch up with a great friend. Thoroughly recommend their sweet potato curry! Perfect afternoon despite the rain!

Thank you to my lovely client for sending over this picture of their beautiful new kitchen (don’t you just love the green units?), showing the Roman blind and memo board I made for them in beautiful fabric. They have just had a small armchair recovered in the same fabric which looks just stunning!

On this rather dreary day, at least I get to look at our beautiful painting whilst I try and keep our two girls focused on their home schooling.
I love this painting for so many reasons - the colours, textures created using various paint techniques and mediums and the semi abstract subject matter.
As a Scot living in the south of England, it also reminds me of the West Coast of Scotland with its wild mountains, rugged coastline and heathery moors and makes me a little nostalgic.
Do take a look for more examples of their beautiful and unique work.
