Despite the weather today we have almost completed a new tip Bay Area and bark storage for a company.
The ground wasn't solid so 60t of soil was removed and replaced with concrete crush and type 1 over teram and a geotex roll for additional stability.Steels where concreted into the ground and treated sleepers slid in to create there walls. Not all jobs have to be full garden make overs. Simple decking replacement using concrete supports as always and the clearance of a small veg plot and back to grass. We also replaced the wobbly sleeper steps with a safer set.

Another busy few days in Kent building a mini sports arena for Pétanque and Table tennis and a split chestnut fence to keep the pets in.
Using treated sleepers as edging to leveled off the ground and laid a w**d membrane over the soil. 8 tonnes of type 3 permeable sub base was put down and compacted to be covered in a self binding gravel.
A new split chest nut fence was installed with stock fence and matching chestnut gates from FSF Fencing for easy access.

Started off this week with a hard reduction of a Sycamore tree in Dover in preparation for felling later in the year. Due to the planning consent we had to prevent any nesting potential now encase the project went ahead over the summer .
We are still undertaking tree work but the nesting season is apon us so checks need to be made .

Everyone seems to want vegetable planters at present to grow there own. We recently took down a old planter and replaced it with 3 new ones next to the green house.We also removed the bamboo and added 2 layers of w**d matting to try to keep any rough roots at bay.

Another busy week for us at Bay Tree Landscapes replacing a worn out fence in South London. Approx 120m of motorway style fencing had to be replaced as 90% of the old posts had given way.
All the brambles and ivy where cleared first them 65 treated posts installed with 3 staggered rail.
Not only does it look good it stops the public falling into the ditch !!

Something abit different for us last week over the standard builds. The client needed 3 large water tanks built to harvest rain from the building roofs. Due to there location everything had to be done by hand with a bit of head stratching on logistics. It's like a big meccano kit with a rubber liner , hundreds of nut and bolts to torque up !!
The rain fought us again but we got there ahead of schedule ready for the client to get plumbed in.
