Storm Bram – Be Prepared ⚠️

Storm Bram is expected to bring strong winds and heavy rain to parts of Scotland, England and Wales. While our teams are ready to respond, it’s always good to be prepared, just in case.

Here are a few simple steps to help you stay safe and comfortable:

🔌 Call 105 to report a power cut. It’s free and works no matter who you pay your bill to. Save it to your contacts now
🔦 Keep a torch handy in case the lights go out
🔋 Charge your power bank so you can keep your devices powered
🛏️ Have some extra blankets nearby, your heating may be affected
🪟 Close curtains or blinds to keep warmth in and draughts out
🥶 Keep fridge/freezer doors closed to maintain temperature, check your appliance manual for how long food stays safe
⚠️ If you see a fallen power line or pole, stay well back and call 105 immediately to report it.

We were asked to help with putting up the Christmas decorations in the village.

Great when the local community come together, keeping me topped up on mince pies as well.
