After the heatwave my seedlings were staring to look Hella Crispy!!
If I'm going to stand any chance of flowers this year I had to bite the bullet and get some in the ground!

So the cutting garden has received cornflowers, sunflowers, cosmos, nigella, rudbeckia and an unknown/unlabelled plant that will no doubt grow massive and block the light of everything else!

The patch needed some serious cutting back and w**d pulling but now has plenty of room for flower growth so bring on the blooms πŸ₯°

Black Wisteria Part 1.
After looking for black wisteria for a friend's wedding, and only being able to find this very thin and long example with bright green vines, I had to try and improve it to give the bride the look she wants for the wedding.

I took petals off a few vines, twisted 2 others together and then added the petals to the new twisted vine to make it thicker. This definitely improved the look but the petals were still small and too thin. The green vines stood out more against the improved foliage. I just wasn't happy with the quality.

So I stripped all the vines of their petals and painted them black with Frenchics Black Jack.. one of my all time favourites - it can be found all over the house.

Once dry... I twisted 2 together and waited for an order of a different faux flower with the right shape, size and colour petals.

Having transfered the petals over to the now black vine, I twisted the vine into a knot to give the shorter and top heavy appearance of the existing white flowers on the tree...

Follow for part 2 and to see what the tree looks like fully transformed πŸ₯°

What have we been doing???

2026 has been a mish mash of all sorts.. my ADHD brain has hundreds of ideas but minimal ex*****on. I get so overloaded with things I want to do that I don't know where to start...
With a few fibro & ME flare ups thrown in for good measure... a "To Do" list, isn't quite going to cut it 🀣

I'm behind on getting my seedlings potted on and planted out... the upshot of this means I may be doing a bit of direct sowing this year 😳
I'm thrilled that a few plants I thought were dead have infact risen up and are looking promising!

Lots of wreaths, funeral mostly, made up ready for rental once photographed and advertised.

We've taken a wall down, a shower out and tiles down.. helped the brother in law build a new coop for his egg layers

Hubby smashed his face up and broke a rib..
Plus the Valentines and mother's day flowers... ooh and for our friends wedding I'm attempting to make some black wisteria to replace the white on their trees πŸ₯° Watch this space... full reel on this, coming soon!!

I've taken lots of pics, just not great at posting. Will try and get some content together over the coming weeks. TTFN xx

Time lapse video from the other night making a natural based wreath for the cemetery.
One down, three to go.

I've managed to collect so many branches from the foliage, I think I'll have quite a lot of bases. Any tips on how best to store them are welcome?

I love having this time with friends and family πŸ₯°

This year I will be appearing at a couple of assisted living houses to make foam based wreaths with the residents...
I'll be doing my usual session with some local Christmas crazies ...

And I'm super proud to be running an affordable wreath making session with low income families... this made possible by a large donations of dried flowers left over from a wedding, a donation of Christmas tree foliage from a local Christmas Tree Farm, collecting chrismas decorations from friends and my own obsession with over buying craft supplies πŸ™ˆ

Overall... the forecast for the next week looks like wreaths, wreaths and more wreaths πŸ₯°

A little video to show you roughly what you can expect from the wreath making session next weekend.
Any questions, please shout x

As this session is nearly full, if there are 3 or 4 people wanting another session, I will run a session from home. Message me to arrange a date.
