Animal behavior experts say intelligent primates often display complex, purposeful behavior that goes far beyond what most people expect.
An orangutan kept escaping just to throw rocks at another enclosure 🦧
At a zoo, keepers noticed that one orangutan had developed a strange routine. He repeatedly found ways to escape his enclosure, calmly walked across the zoo pathways, and stopped near another animal habitat.
There he would pick up small rocks and toss them toward the enclosure before quietly returning. While the behavior puzzled visitors, animal behavior experts explained that intelligent primates sometimes display complex curiosity and territorial reactions.
