Timber window ripout: 🪟

We traveled to Stamford Bridge for this little install, its great to get about, leaving quality behind 💪🏼

This timber bathroom window was the last to be changed to UPVC, it was soft wood, absolutely rotten through with float single glass, hard putty sealing it in that had totally cracked and fallen out leaving gaps for the wind and rain to find its way into the property- definitely the coldest room in the house, drafty and no thermal value what so ever.

Changed to a spangly new UPVC window with modern looking Satin glass, a great obscurity, plenty of light gets through but you can get away with not having a blind fitted on the inside if needed/wanted.

When changing from timber to UPVC you can see the massive change the window actually makes.
- the customer is now going to be angling at a new bathroom now the window is done, good luck to her husband in that fight.. 🤣😂

Great customer, brews and cakes... even did me a doggy bag to take the cakes that weren't eaten home 😜❤️

Hope you're enjoying this mega bank holiday weather! .i've had my shorts on for more than 10 minutes for a change! 😂🤣

I'm on a weeks holiday as of Sat dinnertime, hopefully this weather continues this coming week so me and the family can get out on some adventures, hopefully including abit of kayaking! ❤️.Also my 41st tomorrow so a few beers incoming! 😊

I'll be back at it from Mon 1st June and I'm stacked out until middle of Aug 😳, but i can always try to accommodate, gimme a shout...

Timber door rip out and Hallmark Doors & Panels composite door install over in Hessle ❤️

The customers have recently moved in to the property and the yellow had to go!

The existing was timber frame with composite door slab, the slab was originally black and had been painted yellow, i'm guessing before putting up on the market.. from a distance it actually didn't look that bad, but closer up you could see fish eyes in the paint where it had seperated and was actually quite a bad job.

I visited the property armed with brochures and colour swatches, the customers were so easy to work with, they knew exactly what they wanted after a quick scan through the options and chose the door in the images below.
It really has changed the kerb appeal of the property, it looks absolutely stunning with mega amounts of style.

I'm really pleased with this install and out of hundreds of doors, this is the first 1 of this design/style i have fit... hopefully not the last, it definitely has the 'wow' factor!!

Collaboration with Lee Stearman @ SPS Groundworks on this little project for Martin Sanders @ Shape Changers, Barton..

Martin has massive projects going on in more than 1 location at his massive premise, constantly moving forward and improving for the gym members, this project is seperate from the gym but still located on site, in the 'soon to be available to rent' office spaces!

-we were first called in to rip out a window ready for bricking up, then back again when the brick work was ready, and a new door opening cut-out.
we carefully ripped an existing UPVC door out and then re-fit it into the fresh cut out, SPS Groundworks will then be back finishing abit of pointing above and also brickwork to fill the gap left from the extracted and moved door (although it is temporarily secured)

Another 'from this' to 'this' post...

No need to explain why this window and door was in desperate need of replacing, it was absolutely rotten through with the glass hanging in there by the will of god..

The customer needed abit more security with not long moving in and sorting the outhouse out, but didn't want to spend an absolute fortune, this simple UPVC door and window were perfect for what they needed. .shiplap panels were added to the door to enhance the look, rather than flat panels.
the window is a fixed light (no opener), the stone sill was damaged and cracked, so I used a 150mm sill so water is taken away from the stone sill, rather than sitting and seeping through, and toughened glass was added, again, for security.

Great customer and i have completed quite abit of work on his couple of properties, no doubt I will be back at some point in the future!

An Old timber garage window replaced for a new rosewood on white (white internal) UPVC frame with top opener, white handle and clear glass.

I also resealed the joining door and trims to match.

Hi!!

I've been back to a property to complete more work, to what is turning out to be an absolutely beautiful property inside and out, a labour of love with emotional attachment, and so many memories for the customers... it has been hard work but an absolute pleasure to be a part of it.

Originally Barton Glazing were called in to measure and install new windows on the main property, the customers (and friends) chose 'chartwell green' sculpted frames with diamond 💎 leaded glass, white frames internally with white handles, we decided on black silicone to seal up externally to make the windows 'pop' they all look absolutely mega and love sealing up in black.

The recent work was to install windows in the 'old coach house', a massive building that apparently was Baysgarth parks coach house, a stunning building that will eventually be restored into a usable space, it has mega old brickwork, 'had' old and rotten timber windows, broken glass and years of repairs with ivy also eating away at it.
The new windows are now installed and it has brought it back to life, without taking the character away, the 'chartwell green' and diamond lead design are complimented by the brickwork and surrounding areas and now matches in with the house situated next to it..

A very long way to go but you guys are getting there, be very proud of what you are doing, the same as your lost loved ones would be, it would have been so easy to move into a ready made 2 up,2 down new build, but where's the fun in that eh!?

Another day, another Hallmark Doors & Panels composite door... 41 miles away.

Although i have been unwell with virtigo.. which is absolutely mint, i really enjoyed fitting this and the customer was/is a **total hero too.

It really has made a massive difference to the front of the home, the front step and pillars are being re-painted soon and a new timber porch/canopy added too, so it will look even better when finished!

● The customer was security conscious so a few extra bits were added, the door was Installed with:
● 'ultion' locks
● hinge bolts
● security letterbox (Ts008)

● Chartwell green slab and white frame, chrome handle and letterbox, finished in black silicone to make the door pop... (black looks great with most colours but really frames green)

● I also supplied an extra 5 ultion keys. (Ultion account holder and approved supplier)
● 2 chrome grab handles added to match the door hardware as abit of an extra.

**Very random and definitely a first for Barton Glazing, usually its an offer of a bacon sarnie, brews and even a tip at times (which are obviously all much appreciated), but the reason for the 'hero' comment- the customer is a barber, for over 20 years in fact, so obviously he offered a free haircut and shave in his home barber shop, and I thought it would be rude not to take him up on it 😂🤣..total legend and a mega haircut!

- As I sat in the chair he said "bet you've never had this before mate"

- "No mate, i haven't" 🤣😂
