📢 We are hiring 📢

As we head into spring and our busiest period of the year, Viridis Landscape + Design is looking for a skilled landscaper to join our team.

We are fortunate to build our own garden designs while also collaborating with some of Bath’s leading designers to bring their visions to life. Our projects vary significantly in scope and size, offering the opportunity to work with a broad spectrum of materials and build styles.

The ideal candidate will have experience in domestic garden construction, specifically focusing on hard landscaping. Key requirements include:

▪︎ The ability to work confidently from plans and produce work to a high standard.
▪︎ Resilience to working outdoors in all conditions.
▪︎ A strong alignment with our business ethos and the ability to work well within a team.

This winter has been brutal for all of us who work outside, and especially for those of us working in the landscaping industry.

We are used to the unpredictable nature of our winters, but the relentless rain we have experienced over the last few months has not only made site conditions extremely challenging, it's also very hard mentally on the team... wading around in ankle deep mud, projects not able to progress and wet weather gear never seeming to dry... it's a lot!

I think I speak for a lot of landscape contractors out there when I say that spring cannot come soon enough, but one thing about this industry to shout about is the sense of unity, everyone is in the same boat and being able to vent the frustrations and share support when needed has been a lifesaver for me personally 🫶🏼

It's been a long, wet, hard slog for most of us over the past few months, but the tiny glimpses of blue sky over the last few weeks are reminding us that spring is nearly here!

We wanted to share some details from our Quarry project alongside the wonderful that we built at the end of last year. This incredible garden will be planted next month and we can't wait to see it, but we wanted to take a moment to appreciate the hard landacaping and structure too, especially thanks to all the suppliers who have helped us create this beautiful space.

The end of another great year to look back on, with a few shots from some of our favourite build and maintenance projects over this year.

I want to say a huge thank you to all of our clients, those who's garden we work in regularly to maintain and our new and returning design and build clients who have entrusted us with your garden projects this year. Its an absolute pleasure to work with such wonderful people and experience the garden journey with you 💚

To our wonderful collaborators who we enjoy creating these gorgeous spaces with and to our contractors and suppliers, you have supported us so much this year and we could not do any of this without your excellent service and reliability 🙏🏼

And lastly to my team - Natasha, George, Cameron, Ed, Tom, Jon and Harry - thank you all for your amazing hard work this year, the jobs may not all be a walk in the park (mainly due to my ability to find the most awkward access sites...) but you never back down from the challenge 🫶🏼

I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and New Year, and we will see you in 2026 ✨️

1. A visit to our previous build in Central Bath as part of our APL Accreditation inspection.

2. Tree planting day in Fairfield Park. Trees sourced from 🌳

3. Dahlia appreciation at our maintenance project in West Littleton. 🧡

4-6 Planting day with .gray.gardens at our build project in Limply Stoke.

7. Our gorgeous solid Zahra Limestone steps from alongside the Egyptian Limestone pavers from and locally sourced Limestone paving.

9-10. A small project of ours in Timsbury. Porcelain paving from and a bespoke pergola, timber sourced from .

11. A delivery of boulders arriving from today.

12-15. Some more of our work at the Cookswood project, including a red cedar slatted AC unit cover, the outdoor kitchen coming together beautifully and the Oak pergola nearing completion.

The icing on the cake this week was passing our APL inspection with and becoming accredited members of !

We are looking for a couple of individuals to join our team here in Bath.

• Maintenance Gardener (part time) - 1-2 days a week for regular maintenance projects and planting projects in and around Bath, working on a subcontractor basis as part of a team.

• Skilled Landscaper - working as part of our hard landscaping teams on projects in Bath and the surrounding areas on a self employed subcontractor basis, with possibilities of an employed position after a probationary period if desired.

"As we have no rear access it was not an easy job. Nearly all the original planting had to be carried through the house. This was handled extremely well, and every effort was made to keep the disruption to a minimum.

The Viridis team who worked on our project were committed and fun! They always cleared up at the end of each day, and were enthusiastic about the project. We are delighted with the quality of the workmanship"

Sharing some lovely feedback from one of our recent build projects in Chew Valley - designed by the wonderful .gray.gardens, the access for this project was not straightforward, but nothing we are not used to! The clients were wonderful and it was a really great project for the spring.

A glimpse at our recently completed project in Chew Valley.

Designed by the wonderful .gray.gardens, this gorgeous garden has been transformed into a space that is far more suitable for the clients' needs.

The clever use of hedging, planting, and low fencing allows for the beautiful extended views beyond the garden, giving a feeling of elongated space.
