The hours you don’t see and the costs you don’t calculate.
Some of you have been here since it was just me running Bebington Garden Maintenance, and some of you have joined since me and Jack partnered up to become Mor Gardens & Landscaping. 🤝
There have been countless hours and a lot of money poured into those early days—buying and building the professional equipment our customers have come to expect. And we haven’t stopped since. 🔧💷
We’re now in our third year under the name Mor—a name that came from a mistranslation, but one we carry with pride regardless. 💚
We’re still reinvesting most of our profits into new and better equipment because we believe that to deliver the best quality, you need quality tools. 🌱
Now, I’ve spoken before about the ongoing costs—insurance, waste disposal, and maintenance—and we’re still covering all of these. Recently, fuel increases have hit us hard too, affecting not just our vehicles but also the tools we rely on daily. ⛽
Even agricultural supplies like w**d treatments for hardstanding, which we give as part of our all inclusive service and grass seed we provide to our customers at the end of every cutting season for those who stay on until the end of October to help improve their lawns for the next year have gone up in price.🌾
Despite these rising costs, we’ve made the decision not to increase our prices this year. We know times are tough for everyone, and we’d rather weather it alongside our customers for as long as we can. 💪 However, we will be reviewing our prices next April at the start of the new financial year, if we do increase a month warning will be given but we hope not to. 📊
Also as we’ve taken on more customers, we’ve made a conscious decision not to stretch ourselves thin or let anyone down. Instead, we’ve split the round and are doubling up on equipment to keep our standards high. 🚜
We’re also investing in training to ensure the w**d treatments are kept on top of, and we’ve recently taken on a new team member who has just completed his trial week and will be joining us full-time shortly. 👷♂️
