So how do you go about fixing a 18th century ceiling under stairs that keeps failing due to movement in staircase. Strip it apply new laths , do not over lap laths. Coat with new base coat lime plaster, make sure you add goats hair! Complete with finish lime plaster(do not add hair) . Complete with mineral paint.
