Absolute non-stop this week across Belfast and beyond — here's the run-down 👇

🔑 Monday — Proper mayhem! 7 lock changes:

Newtownards Road
Pamona Avenue
4 in Holywood
Ballyhackamore
Mersey Street

Plus a mortice replacement, a solicitor on the Holywood Road struggling to close their office door (sorted!), a door chain fitted for a customer wanting extra security after a lock change, and 2 mech replacements — one in Antrim and another on the Oldpark Road. Cracker of a start to the week!

🔑 Tuesday — Lockout on the Lisburn Road and a lock change further up the same road.

🔑 Wednesday — 2 lock changes — Taughmonagh and Park Avenue.

🔑 Thursday — Lock change on the Crumlin Road and a mech change in Ashmount Park.

🔑 Friday — Big day!

Failed bathroom latch opened in Carryduff (never fun being trapped in the bathroom 😅)
Screw-in cylinder replacement for a business on the Holywood Road, 5 keys supplied
Finished the day with a Shankill Road lockout

🔑 Saturday — Centra in Bangor locked out of their main door — got them back open and trading. Then a lock change on the Ormeau Road, plus a lock replacement AND latch replacement out in Craigantlet.

🔑 Sunday — Failed mech replaced on the Ormeau Road. Door working perfectly again ✅

⚠️ REAL TALK MOMENT 🙋‍♂️

I like being upfront with everyone, so here's an honest one — I shattered a double-glazed unit this week while fitting a screw. These things happen, sometimes stuff is genuinely out of our control, but the difference is what you do about it. Sourced a brand new pane of glass, got it fitted, and had the customer completely sorted on the spot. No fuss, no excuses, no arguments over who pays what.

🔑 Monday: Still on holiday, catching the last of the sun ☀️

🔑 Tuesday: Straight back into it with 3 booked-in jobs — lock change in Sydenham, mech failure on Connsbrook Avenue, and a lockout up Whitewell.

🔑 Wednesday: 5am lockout on the Lisburn Road, key extraction on the Newtownards Road, and another lockout that evening in Newtownards. Proper start to the day!

🔑 Thursday: Lockout in Jordanstown followed by another in Newtownards.

🔑 Friday: Things ramped up — mech change in Four Winds, then a lockout and a lock change in Twinbrook. Finished the day with another mech change and a fresh lock installed in Newtownabbey.

🔑 Monday: Cregagh — mortice replacement for a customer whose door wouldn't close right and was very hard to lock. New mortice fitted, fresh keep installed. Door working perfectly again.

🔑 Tuesday: Elderly gent in Dundonald — door only sealing at the top, not the bottom. Realigned the keeps and had it locking 100%. Then over to West Belfast to fit a fresh lock on a bedroom door for a customer wanting privacy when they're out.

🔑 Wednesday: 3am emergency call from Dunraven Avenue — customer had their keys stolen and wanted the locks changed ASAP. There in minutes, lock changed, 5 fresh keys supplied. Peace of mind restored.

🔑 Thursday: Newtownabbey — failed night latch, customer couldn't get inside after locking up. Door opened non-destructively and a brand new night latch fitted on the spot.

🔑 Friday: Took a job passed on from another locksmith — failed mech on a composite door in Comber. Sourced the correct part and had the door back working within a few hours of taking the job.

🔑 Saturday: 5am start — customer lost his keys in a taxi after a night out in Dundonald. Non-destructive entry, plus a new lock fitted since he had no keys to work with. Then a walked-out-and-locked-out customer — door open in minutes, keys retrieved.

🔑 Sunday: City centre lock change, followed by a Ravenhill Road lockout, then another lockout just off the Crumlin Road.

🔑 Monday: Early morning lockout on the Antrim Road — door open, back inside before the day had properly started. Followed by a lock change just off the Holywood Road.

🔑 Tuesday: Key extraction in Comber, then knocked off early to enjoy the sun! Even the Ninja needs a bit of vitamin D 😎

🔑 Wednesday: Beersbridge Road — customer had lost their keys, full lock change fitted with fresh keys and peace of mind restored.

🔑 Thursday: Rim cylinder change on the Upper Newtownards Road — old cylinder swapped out for a fresh, smooth-turning replacement.

🔑 Friday: Bangor — a first for me! Retrofitted a full multi-point mech into a wooden frame and had to readjust the keeps to line up perfectly. Different challenge but got it sorted no problem — always good to have a fresh one to tackle.

🔑 Saturday: Proper busy day!
-Failed mech on a locked uPVC door — opened and swapped within 15 minutes of arriving.

-Lockout just off the West Link.

-Twinbrook lock change with 5 fresh keys supplied.

-Repeat lockout customer — 2nd time in a few weeks! Door open, no damage, back inside quick as ever.

-1:30am callout — composite door wouldn't lock. Turned out the trim at the bottom of the door had dropped off and jammed things up. Spotted it straight away and had it fixed on the spot.

🔑 Sunday: 2 lock changes to wrap up another great week for the Ninja.

🔑 Monday: Rim cylinder change on the Holywood Road, door realignment in Holywood, mech replacement in Dundonald, lockout on the Knock Road, and a lock change in Comber. Proper busy start to the week!

🔑 Tuesday: Failed mech on Sydenham Avenue — customer couldn't lock up before bed. Swapped and sorted. Followed by a late-night lockout on the Lisburn Road — door open, back inside in minutes.

🔑 Wednesday: Replacement handles fitted where the old ones had gone slack, then a lockout in Titanic Quarter, finished with a gain-entry job in Oldpark. Non-destructive across the board.

🔑 Thursday: Double lock change on the Malone Road — high-security anti-snap cylinders fitted with 5 keys per lock. Proper peace-of-mind upgrade.

🔑 Friday: Winkhaus mech replacement on the Ormeau Road, then a seized GU mech replaced all the way out in Portaferry. Long drive but well worth it.

🔑 Saturday: Door realignment for a lovely couple heading on holiday that same evening — they couldn't lock the door and were panicking about leaving the house unsecured. Sorted with plenty of time to spare!

🔑 Sunday: Double gain-entry — one on Connsbrook Avenue, another out in Andersonstown. Both open non-destructively, both customers relieved.

🔑 Monday: A rare day off from the madness!

🔑 Tuesday: Back to it — lockout in Belfast city centre.

🔑 Wednesday: Quick lock change in Sydenham.

🔑 Thursday: City centre lockout, then a 40-mile trip to Dungannon — front door had failed while customer was on holiday. Changed the lock on another door and left the keys safely for their return.

🔑 Friday: Proper mental! Eviction gain-entry just off the Castlereagh Road — front and back door locks changed once vacant. Another city centre lockout. Then a repeat customer on the Ravenhill Road with a failed night latch — replaced. Finished with a Holywood Road cylinder failure — fitted a new thumbturn, working perfectly.

🔑 Saturday: Customer locked INSIDE her own house — another locksmith had told her the mech needed replaced but didn't do the job! Swapped the mech, door working perfectly. Later a 10pm call from a repeat customer needing new locks at a new property — there, sorted, home in 15 mins.

🔑 2am Bangor lockout — customer out celebrating his 30th, keys long gone. There in 20 mins, door open, no damage.

🔑 4:30am Bangor lockout — customer arrived home with her son, keys nowhere. She'd sat in the car ringing every 24/7 locksmith on the list — no answer. I picked up first call, there in 20 mins.

4pm or 4am — we're here when you need us most.

🔧 ANOTHER MENTAL WEEK FOR THE LOCK NINJA! 🥷

What a week it's been — Belfast and beyond! Concerts, flights, holidays, even a boat trip… everyone's been losing keys this week! Here's the wee run-down 👇

🎤 Monday night — Newtownabbey lockout. Customers home from a concert, keys lost somewhere along the way. Door open, fresh lock fitted, sorted ✅

✈️ Tuesday — 4am call from a customer just off a flight from Turkey 🇹🇷 keys lost somewhere abroad! Got them inside and straight to bed — they were absolutely shattered.

Later that day, a lovely elderly lady on the Shankill couldn't lock her front door properly. Realigned the keeps and had it locking smooth as silk again 🔑

🌙 Wednesday — proper busy one!
1am Oldpark lockout — keys lost, door open, lock changed
Mortice replacement on Templemore Avenue for a couple who'd just moved into a new property 🏠
Double lock change for a business on Stranmillis Road, right beside Queen's University — 5 fresh keys supplied 🎓

🛠️ Thursday — top bullet lock failure on a customer's door. Got it open and the mech swapped out. Easy work for the Ninja!

☀️ Friday — warm one to be working! Call from Pitt Park — customer back from holiday had been trying for HOURS to fish their key out of the letterbox with a magnet… turns out it wasn't a magnetic key 🤦‍♂️ There in minutes, door open. Then over to Killinchy for a double lock change — another set of new homeowners getting that fresh-start peace of mind.

🔥 Saturday — another scorcher!
Belfast city centre lockout — open in a few minutes

Castlereagh Road safe job — the neighbour had beat the absolute melt out of it trying to get it open 😬 I got it opened cleanly and recovered all the contents for the customer

Springfield Road — handles loose as anything. Swapped them out, tight and solid again ✅

🌞 Sunday Funday — and we were still going!
Door handle wouldn't lift to lock — turned out a screw had snapped in one of the keeps, blocking the rollers. Fixed in 5 minutes!

Lockout — customer closed the door behind them, keys still inside. Open in minutes

Next-door neighbour saw me working and asked for his sticky lock to be changed too — new lock, 5 keys, sorted 🔑

Late one — customer just off the boat from visiting family across the water, left his keys over there! Got him in, new lock fitted, ready for work Monday morning ⛴️

🔧 ANOTHER MAD WEEK FOR THE LOCK NINJA! 🥷

This was the week of failed Lockmasters — never seen so many in one week! Here's a wee run-down of what we've been sorting across Belfast and beyond 👇

🔑 Monday: Seized mech — customer couldn't open their door at all. Got it open, swapped the mech, and replaced 2 locks that had been fitted wrong by someone else (weren't even flush to the handles!).

🚪 Tuesday: A proper double-trouble day. Two failed Lockmaster latches — both gained non-destructively and replaced. Then a panicked call from a customer locked INSIDE her bedroom — the handle had snapped clean off the door! There in 15 minutes, opened the front door, opened the bedroom, freed her from her own house 😅

🍴 Wednesday: Call from Fowl Play restaurant in Ballyhackamore — a supplier had snapped a key off in their lock and they couldn't get in. There in 10 minutes, key extracted. They opted to upgrade the old rim cylinder while I was there — sensible move ✅

🔧 Thursday: ANOTHER failed Lockmaster mech! Door open, mech swapped, sorted.

🌊 Friday: Newtownards lockout — got them inside, then tackled a patio sliding door that the previous owner had literally SEALED SHUT with silicone 😳 Got it freed up, working properly again.

🔥 Saturday: Mental day — 3 lockouts before lunch, a failed mech, and a 9pm lockout. All non-destructive, all sorted.

👨‍👧 Sunday (Father's Day): Still on the tools! Brackenhill call — another failed Lockmaster on patio doors. Someone had tried to shoulder-barge it open and broken the keeps! Mech swapped, door realigned, fitted a thumbturn cylinder with 5 new keys.

When we say we work 24/7, 365 days a year — we genuinely mean it. Bank holidays, Father's Day, Christmas — we're there 🥷
