** CUSTOMER DEPOSIT NOTICE**
PLEASE READ.
During these times of crisis, we as a company have abolished the need to pay a deposit for glass units that are authorised to be orderd.
The system is once authorisation is given to order, we then the next day put in the order.
Under normal circumstances we always give our customers the time frame of 10-15 working days.
However as we have recently learnt, due to back logs and skeleton staff withing the manufacturer's, the time frame can be alot longer.
The reason we have taken deposits before now is for the simple reason, once we order the product, it cannot be cancelled and we are liable to pay.
Unfortunately when a customer cancels, we are left with a product which is wasted (glass units especially) and a costing to pay.
These can cost a small company such as ourselves if many cancel after authorising us to order. And it can devastately effect some companies. Unfortunately we are now resulted back to taking deposits again.
As you can see in the picture below, verbal or written contracts of communication are legally binding, therefore customers are liable to pay even if they decide to cancel.
As we cannot simply afford this unfortunately we have to take deposits on authorisation again, and the customer is left with whatever is left to pay on completion.
As stated on our contract, the customer is liable to look around all of the work before paying the remainder before we leave to make sure they are happy with everything.
What we thought would be a massive help to our customers, unfortunately has resulted on us going back to taking deposits.
Throughout this pandemic and over the years we thank each and every customer who has supported us, given us work and understand the deposit process.
We hope you have a good weekend.
Thank you for reading,
Jon and Eleri
