INFORMATION FOR OUR CUSTOMERS
As from October, all new and replacement gas Fire installations, have to have a Carbon Monoxide detector fitted by law. This is a regulation and as "Gas Safe" engineers we have to adhere to it. The cost of this will be in addition to the installation costs.
As for positioning, it has to be between 1metre and 3 metres from the fire and 150mm (6") down from the ceiling. It has to be fixed and not portable.
The regulation is for your safety😊
