I have but a few words as BoilerCop goes into 2026 and it’s 6th year of trading.

How the hell have we come so far? Myself and, Robin Kenny set this up in 2020 after I quit my job and with absolutely no idea to what we were going to do. So we sat down and hatched out multiple plans. All failed. 😂
We knew we could sell heating spares but how could we compete? How could we get customers without paying to advertise? Then it hit us, email! So one email to thousands of engineers and a few posts on Gas Chat set us on a path we couldn’t turn back from and we haven’t needed to advertise for almost 4 years; that is phenomenal!

So to all engineers who have ever used us and to all the engineers who continue to use us. Thank you so much for all the work you guys and girls throw our way. We are truly humbled.

Happy New Year everybody and may 2026 actually be, all of our year. 💙

****OBSOLETE PART ALERT.

Hi everyone, this Worcester condensate elbow is now obsolete and it is a very common part in the fact it fuses/seizes to the trap so if you’re ripping out an old Greenstar and it has the old style trap on, keep the elbow or at least for future reference find something to adapt onto the old trap because otherwise you’ll be telling the customer they need a new boiler for the sake of a £15 part.
I spoke to quite a few online companies yesterday who were showing this in stock and they didn’t have it so be wary of that as well.

THIS ELBOW IS OBSOLETE BECAUSE THE MANUFACTURER HAS GONE BUST AND WORCESTER CANNOT SOURCE A NEW ONE.

Gas / heating engineer to join our team at Jones the Gas based in Flintshire North wales.

We are looking for an engineer to undertake the installation and maintenance of domestic gas appliances to a very high standard with focus on quality this will be within Flintshire & surrounding areas.

The right candidate will need to demonstrate their ability to work both independently and as part of a team on different types of heating and hot water systems and must be based within Flintshire.

Job Type: Full Time / Permanent (Paye)

Key Responsibilities
• Installation of gas boilers and central heating systems
• Service of domestic boilers
• Gas safety works of domestic boilers
• Diagnose / Repair on domestic gas boilers and central heating systems
•huge emphasis on quality trust & protecting customer property.

Essential Qualifications
• Minimum 5 years experience within the domestic gas industry
• Domestic ACS Gas Safe certified
• Full Drivers Licence –
• Must be over 25 years old

Required from the right candidate
• Be reliable
• Be presentable
• Be punctual and have good time keeping
• Good Communication

Benefits Package
• Salary (negotiable depending on experience) £40-50k with opportunity to earn overtime.

Boiler Cop is 3 years old this month and we’re still absolutely smashing it and it’s all down to the relationships we have built over that time. Customers have become friends and I genuinely can’t thank any of you enough. We were told we’d never make it without a business plan which we 100% didn’t have but after sending thousands emails telling gas engineers they were s**t at repairing boilers for them to then ring me up and ask me, “who the hell do you think you are”? And then for me to explain the business model of drop shipping domestic and commercial heating spares things just took off, FYI, the email was banter and it worked. 💙😊
Then we did a couple of advertisements on Gas Chat and wow! It just took off so a massive thanks must go to the admin of Gas Chat.

Some may know, and some may not.

Ideal Isar 174200 diverter cartridge for the Grey Head diverter is the same as the Worcester Heatslave 87161051320 and Baxi Bahama 241361 and comes with the same removal tool saving engineers around £20 plus vat as the Isar one is wayyyyy cheaper… It fits the following Worcester and Baxi
