It’s very sad to consider over the last few months as many customers ( real people and personalities ) that I have known for years have passed on . It’s very sad when you ask after a wife or husband that is usually ’around’ to be told ‘x’ is no longer with us .
Life is fragile . Handle with prayer

Ice damage on new Bristan shower valve , burst the back of the unit out . The second is ice burst on a copper pipe . Lots of these this year . Some lucky escapes though for a few people . Thoughts are with those returning from holiday after a few days to find homes devastated

As the weather clears and temperatures rise the ice plugs in burst pipes thaw and release the water . Make sure you know where your stop valves are in the house or on the pavement outside , and THAT THEY WORK

All condensing boilers have a drip pipe and some are discharged out side . In these cold temperatures they freeze and cause the boiler to close down . Unfreeze them and get the boiler started again . Happy snow days every one
