🌲Christmas Tree recycling for Tŷ Hafan Children's Hospice 🌲

This month we’ve once again donated our time, machinery and facilities by providing Ty Hafan and its army of volunteers with an operational base for its annual Christmas Tree collection fundraiser, recycling over 500 Christmas trees at our Bridgend yard. All trees have been chipped using our CBI whole tree chipper, helping to raise an incredible £13,000.

Our Christmas tree collections went TREE-mendously well! 🎄

We were so pleased with the response to our first-ever Christmas tree collections and are thrilled to share that we collected 200 trees to be recycled! ♻️

We couldn’t have done this without the support of our fantastic volunteers from Sinclair Group and Euro Commercials - Mercedes Benz who hit the road in their company vans to collect trees across Bridgend, Pencoed and Porthcawl.

The trees were then whisked off to Anstee Services, where they were kindly processed and recycled by the team free of charge.

Ceri Anstee shared, “We are absolutely delighted to be able to assist Tŷ Hafan with this initiative and to be involved in a fundraising project right on our doorstep.

“As a family run business of over 35 years, it’s fantastic to know the money raised will be helping local families and children that rely on Tŷ Hafan’s specialist care and support."

A huge 'thank you' to everyone who chose to recycle their Christmas tree with us. Your generous donations came to over £2,500, which will help provide more families with the support they need during their child’s life, death and beyond 💚

Half term week has been a busy one with the removal of dangerous roadside ash trees, as well as mature conifers. Our whole tree chipper helps ensure work is completed as quickly as possible to minimise disruption
