Golden hour, summer flowers and long evenings that seem to stretch on forever.

A little look back at Selina & George’s beautiful summer wedding at Earnshill House last year, where I had the joy of styling the flowers and tables for their welcome dinner.

There’s something about summer evenings that feels almost magical, warm light spilling across the tables, flowers catching the last of the sun, candles beginning to glow as the evening slowly settles in.

And while I’m always rather fond of the cosy feeling that autumn brings, I’m not quite ready to let go of these golden evenings just yet.

So, before the nights draw in, make the most of them. Set the table outside, pick a few flowers from the garden, light a candle as the sun goes down, linger a little longer over dinner and invite someone you love to stay for another glass.

The loveliest moments are often the simplest ones, especially when we slow down enough to notice them. ✨

Here’s to making the most of the last little stretch of summer, before we welcome the cosier evenings of autumn.

A little closer look The Selina Dress 🤍

There’s something so special about seeing a dress up close. The little details you might not notice at first glance, the texture of the fabric, the way the light catches it, and all the tiny decisions that quietly come together to make the whole thing feel right.

This dress was made entirely with Selina in mind, from the very first drape on the stand to the final stitch. I loved watching it slowly take shape, adjusting and refining each part until it felt like her.

These are some of my favourite moments from the process and the day itself, a little mix of the dress being made and those close-up details once it was finally worn.

I think that’s one of the things I love most about making by hand. So much of the finished piece is made up of moments that happen quietly along the way: a seam being changed, a shape being softened, fabric pinned and repinned, standing back from the mannequin and deciding that something needs just a tiny bit more.

And then, eventually, it gets to leave the studio and become part of a real memory. ✨

A little bit of fabric, a lot of time, and something made especially for someone you love.

The cosiest kind of making. 🤍

There is something about seeing a little pocket of beauty through a window.

Perhaps it is because you are not quite part of it yet. You are simply looking in - catching a glimpse of a table waiting for dinner, the glow of candlelight, flowers in a vase, or a room that looks especially warm and inviting.

And somehow, even from the other side of the glass, it can make you feel cosy.

I think this is one of the loveliest things about hygge. It isn’t always about creating the perfect cosy moment for yourself. Sometimes it is simply about noticing one.

A beautifully laid table.
The warm light spilling from a window as evening falls.
Rain against the glass while somewhere inside, dinner is being prepared.
A Christmas tree glowing in a window on a dark December evening.

Those little glimpses of beauty that make you pause for just a second and think, I love this.

Perhaps that is why I have always loved looking through windows.
They frame ordinary moments and somehow make them feel a little more magical.

And maybe we could all do with noticing a few more of those moments. 🤍

What is something you’ve seen through a window lately that made you stop and look?

18.07.26 | Aimee & Stuart 🤍

The first of a few little glimpses into one of the most special weddings I’ve had the privilege of being a part of.

Creating the flowers for Aimee & Stuart’s wedding was such a joy from start to finish. Every bouquet, buttonhole and arrangement was made with so much love, knowing they would become part of memories that will last a lifetime.

There is something incredibly special about seeing months of planning and creativity come together on such a beautiful day.

Watching the flowers find their place, seeing the smiles, and knowing I could play a small part in such an important chapter of their story is something I’ll never take for granted.

Thank you, Aimee & Stuart, for trusting me with your vision. It was an honour to create something so personal for you both, and I wish you a lifetime of love, laughter and happiness together. C x

One year one since Selina & George’s gorgeous wedding weekend, looking back at some of the hygge moments captured.

Earnshill House proved to be the most beautiful location.

Where friends and family gathered.

To celebrate love.

And tradition.

Under the golden glow of summer nights.

Selina looked radiant in her bespoke dress we created together.

And danced the night away.

Surrounded by love and laughter, it was the perfect wedding weekend! 🤍

Creating beauty when surrounded by beauty. 🤍

I am always dreaming of designing hygge into my work and when we got a fresh dusting of snow I couldn’t wait to create and bring an added sense of magic to the mountains in an unexpected way. 🧚 ###

Spring is on the way 🌷

Photographing the tulips I had just brought from the supermarket at the top of the mountain was the perfect little hygge activity to get me inspired. And I can’t wait to start creating more soon 💗
