Original Floorboard Restoration Completed in Brighton

This recent project involved restoring an original timber floor that had been hidden beneath old floor coverings for many years.

After removing hundreds of staples and carrying out extensive preparation work, the floorboards were carefully scraped, sanded and finished to bring out the natural character of the wood. The transformation completely changed the feel of the room while preserving the property’s original features.

Many period properties across Brighton & Hove still have original timber floors beneath carpets and vinyl. In many cases these can be restored rather than replaced, creating a durable, attractive finish that adds character and value to the home.

Freshen up on this bathroom with a full redecoration, keeping it clean, bright and in keeping with the character of the property. The soft tones work really nicely with the natural light coming through the Velux, giving it a much warmer, more finished feel.

Plenty of prep went into this one to get the surfaces right before painting – always makes all the difference on jobs like this.

Really happy with how this turned out 👌
