Completed a front garden overhaul in Bathampton meeting the client's needs and beautifying the space too.

Starting with a design and a planting scheme which suited the north-facing slope and client's taste all the way through to preparation, planting, and mulching.

I thoroughly enjoy these projects as the hard work brings rewards that speak for themeselves!

A number of tree and shrub reductions over autumn 2023. The birch tree in particular was difficult. It had been topped two years ago, a very poor practice to apply to birches, as they are susceptible to rotting and the vigorous shoots snapping out. So it was thinned out in a multi-stage process to bring it back to a strong structure.

A three day garden clearance for a friend in Nottingham in August 2023. This was no easy task! fourteen small trees taken out, chipped and stump ground to provide a sunny blank slate for vegetable beds and flower borders.

A mammoth laurel hedge cut back in August 2023. Over three days the hedge was levelled off in height and straightened on both sides. The laurel around the house was also cut back and the neighbouring tree's crowns were responsibly raised. All the waste was heaped on the property's compost heap.

Part of a border restoration project for a client back in June 2023. Always looking to re-use strong healthy plants, a few geraniums and geums were dug up and potted up to be planted in spring.

A very gentle magnoila reduction that should encourage renewed flowering within a few years. Magnolias are sensitive to heavy pruning as they generally have little foliage to begin with and so I was right out to the tips on this one, taking it back to viable lateral branches. The customer was delighted a nd the property was left spotless 🤘
