The Summer Surprise is Underway! 🐝

​Every year, I love trying out a different mix of annual wildflower seeds in my garden. My routine is simple: just a quick rake of the border, scatter the seeds in mid-April, and let nature do the rest!

​One month later, and the very first flowers are already starting to emerge. I am so excited to see the full effect this summer and welcome lots and lots of pollinators.

​Proof that you don’t need a massive estate to make a difference—this little patch is only 2m x 1.5m, but it’s going to provide a massive, all-you-eat buffet for our flying garden visitors! 🦋

The weather has been absolutely fabulous, and this garden project on Mersea Island is coming along beautifully!

This compact alpine Saxifraga Pixi Pan Red forms a neat cushion of evergreen foliage, topped by an explosion of deep, velvety red flowers starting in early spring.

​It's a tough, easy-to-grow perennial, perfect for rockeries, troughs, or the edge of a path. 'Pixi Pan Red' thrives in well-drained soil in a sunny to partly shaded spot. We love using it for ground cover or to add a pop of intense color to container displays.
​A must-have for any rock garden enthusiast!

We just presented this concept design to a lovely young couple in the heart of the Netherlands.
They are just beginning their gardening journey, and we wanted to give them a space that feels both timeless and effortless.

The goal? A traditional style with a modern touch. Here’s how we’re bringing it to life:
