Had a new cedar shingle roof put on the Savannah Breeze House today. Loved the thatch, but feel the cedar is more practical and longer lasting.

For those wanting to know what box tree caterpillar 🐛 look like, here’s a visual. You will know if you have them as your box hedge will start looking like it’s covered in cobwebs and will have bare stems.

If you haven’t clipped your buxus hedge yet, then now is the time. Make sure it’s well watered from the base the night before. Keep your eyes open for box caterpillars 🐛 and treat ASAP.

Spent the last two days soft landscaping for a long-standing client. Dug the hole to sink a 12ft trampoline, created an informal seating area, dug trenches for the new native hedge planting, created a mound in the garden for the new walnut tree and mass bulb planting and created a curved raised area for the new crab apple hedging.
Couldn’t of done it without Jack Tattersall and his digger, the clients dedication and the hard work of my partner in crime Wendy Deaner
Can’t wait to get back and plant all the bare root stock later in the month and finish the hoggin on the informal seating area.

This build is soon to come to its completion. I’m really pleased with how this garden has been transformed. Big thanks to the guys at Tattersalllandscapes for bringing my design into reality.
