Alan Adams demonstrating his approach to analysing the pattern found in the inner courtyard of the Blue mosque, Istanbul.
Based on an isometric grid he showed how to draft the double weaves, only with with 3 small circles, which derive the proportioning circles. Very neat method, which sums up all Alan’s work !

Long drive home on the M6 but I had wonderful weekend with at the very successful Rossendale Arts Trail.
