Small, neat & manageable.

Ensuring a durable and reliable parking area starts with meticulous preparation.

For our tarmacked parking spaces, we emphasise thorough groundwork. We meticulously prepare the sub-base and install new ironwork covers for the drains to ensure optimal functionality and longevity.

Here's how we approached this project:

1. Excavation: We dug out the original area to remove any unsuitable material.
2. Block Paving Surrounds: We installed block paving borders for a clean and defined edge.
3. Hardcore Infill: We infilled the area with hardcore, ensuring it was properly leveled and compacted for a stable base.
4. Base Layer: We applied a 20mm layer of tarmac to create a strong foundational layer.
5. Finishing Layer: Finally, we laid a finer 6mm/10mm tarmac layer for a smooth, polished finish.

This comprehensive process prevents rutting and sinkage, ensuring the tarmac remains pristine. Plus, it helps keep pesky weeds like dandelions from breaking through the surface!

We can do small jobs as well as the large ones.
This short front garden path uses cobblestones, light grey stone flags and the original stone and glazed rope twist edgings.
The new path fits in well with the cottage garden and the home's Yorkshire stone finish.

The brief on this job was to create additional parking by removing existing walls and flower beds and replace with "permeable" block paving.

Using a "Sustainable Drainage System (SuDS) means that you don't need planning permission to pave over an area in your garden.
