When buying online..

Don’t buy a pot for your pencils without at least a cursory look the measurements.

If you are hopeless at measurements, the price is usually a pretty good guide, so perhaps a quick glance in the general direction of that would be advisable too.

If both of these are beyond you, buy a tree, style it out, and put your pencils in an empty plant pot, which you already had and could have used to begin with. (See stories) 🙃

I have been sharing some photos of the bathroom at the French house in my stories today. 🛁🇫🇷

Villa Marie has a very strong sense of style that is quite unique and you can tell the previous owners put a great deal of thought and effort into her.💖✨

Take a look, and then come back and tell me what you think. Their style or mine? Which is your favourite? Where would you rather be? I’d love to know!!

Just to be clear, this ☝🏻is my bathroom in England. But you knew that. Right? 😉

All the questions that can arise from one corner, while you wait for your thread to arrive.

1. Will the wall lights survive? ( probably not)

2. Are the leaves of a dead bay tree the same as dried bay leaves? (No idea but at this point I’m hoping so)

3. Should the artwork be hung at 90 degrees to its present position? (Apparently not, according to the only hook on the back but it still looks like a torso to me)

4. What would you do with a spare 10 minutes? Empty the dishwasher? Stare into space? Build an locker?

And then there’s the clock. Not a question, but 2 days ago it fell down and smashed Elmo’s bowls. I’m telling you, you have NO IDEA how much glass dust they pack into those things!!

So many things.
All in one corner.
When I’m at home I can never be bored.😉

Well my doors, it’s curtains for you!! 😜

I have spent more time than I thought I would reacquainting myself with my sewing machine and learning how to adapt to my new way of doing things. It was quite the task I can tell you, and I’m nowhere near where I thought I would be but at least I’ve made a start. 👼

I’m doing a simple but very effective upgrade to some draw-string pencil pleats, which I’ll be sharing in stories if you want to come along and see how a one-handed amateur does it. 🧵🪡😅

Hooray!! 🎉We have a blind in here and I love it!🤩 It only took me 14 years to decide I needed one and, just like back in the day, when I thought I didn’t need a microwave, I now have no idea what on earth I was thinking!!😳😂

Next on my list of things I think I don’t need, an dust buster.

I’m pretty sure they don’t call it that 😂 but if you know what I mean and you have one, please let me know whether it is a ‘blind and a microwave’ kind of a thing....It’s a considerable outlay so I want to be 100% certain that I’m wrong before I take the plunge. 🙃

Good morning friends, how are you all? It’s been a little while!🤗

I have been counting the days until hair and beauty salons reopen (5 btw). Most people are talking about the pubs, but I am firmly team salon....It’s time I was able to STOP avoiding eye contact with my mirrors - I’ve spent way too long sidling up to them with my eyes half shut, and I’m over it!!! 🧟‍♀️😂

So what are you? Team pub or team salon? You’re probably both, but if you really had to choose could you pick one? 🧖🏼‍♀️🍺🍻💅🏼
