This print is very close to my heart, as it takes me back to my memories of my childhood days. The brown wooden doors used to be everywhere. The old cultural heritage that is getting lost now, can in a way be regained by pictures. I had always been curious of what happens behind the closed doors, how people feel, what they do. If they are safe behind it. Every door has its own story to tell. and every door has a mystery of its own. Though those questions will always remain unanswered.

This beautiful and dramatic location is constantly changing and can reflect so many emotions which particularly at this time for me are never static but fluid and forever deconstructing and reforming like the sea, the weather and the landscape around me when I am here.

Yet amongst nature’s own architecture stands a lone house known as Sea Field house that has stood against all the erosion of time, built almost 100 years ago in 1927 it represents to me the endurance of man and how we can find our place in the world around us and survive. I have painted it not at the focal point but as an inclusion as we are just a small part of a much bigger picture.

By painting here it gives me opportunity to express and purge my emotions when unsettled by recreating them through the representational seascape however it also acts as a salve to my troubled mind when all is peaceful and calm.

Why Is a closed door my favourite place: As I feel , a closed door is a God’s redirection. It gives me opportunity to explore new and find ways on my own. God may have closed the door temporarily, but it doesn’t mean that it will stay closed forever. Sometimes, He wants to redirect us to something better or something He feels we need more at that moment. God may be using this time of closed doors as a time to prepare you for what is to come.

This is my favourite place gate of India in Mumbai entry door. I like this place because the ocean is near and it has a very nice architecture design.There are very beautiful sites in this place. Many more architecture designs are near the gateway site, and it is a very crowded area. It’s a beautiful site.
