We have just finished repairing and rebuilding a waterfall and natural water feature in a Surrey Hills garden and noticed how it had immediately encouraged some different bird species that we hadn't seen in the immediate area before. We didn't manage to catch the Pied Wagtail pair catching shrimps or the Goldcrest bathing in the pools but we did eventually catch this Goldcrest hopping in the conifer next to the waterfall!

A beautiful natural pond in the Surrey Hills today needed some TLC. We removed around 5 tons of w**d, reeds and irises and placed them near the pond for any invertebrates taken out inadvertently to find their way back into the pond. The pond is now opened out to allow the aquatic life more space to flourish.
