A refresh of this gravel driveway and path with some new limestone has certainly brightened up this area with a nice fresh look. We removed a layer of the old dirty contaminated gravel and then installed a fresh layer of limestone gravel over path and the whole drive. The level was raisied and dips that have appeared over time removed.

Limestone is a great choice of gravel for a driveway with its angular corners meaning it will compact and lock together more than gravel with rounded edges which can often create a "beach" feeling when driving over the gravel.

A rather sickly and unfortunately dying back conifer we recently removed along with the stump to prepare the ground for future planting. Once most conifers reach a stage with so much die back it has reached a point of no return and will usually continue to spread and look worse over time. Most conifers will not grow back from dead wood.

The Rhododendron behind will soon grow to fill the space above the fencing and with some suitable planting in the border below it will soon make for a much more attractive and eye catching feature.
