The Bellringers now have some nice comfy Durham Twist carpeting underfoot supplied by Peter Green Contract Furnishers
The high wool content carpet was selected due to nylon/man made fibre carpets causing wear to the Bell Ropes.

It’s always nice to exceed a customers & clients expectations by delivering the design that they’d dreamt of, but others said couldn’t be achieved.

To the untrained eye this looks merely like a striped carpet runner, but upon closer inspection, this is a fantastic example of brilliant workmanship. ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​It was stated that it was not possible to install this design, in a looped carpet, in this situation, but our fitter did a perfect job of creating this pattern matched diagonal join on the large first step.

They said it couldn’t be done!
Hold my Beer.
Loop pile carpet is great for straight staircases, but when the client chooses a striped loop for a stair runner & there’s a 90’ turn at the bottom & wants it mitred, most carpet shops back away.
Result was one very happy customer.

Sometimes projects throw up surprises and are never quite as straightforward as you’d like them to be.
But with experience and product knowledge, there’s always a way to keep the job on track and the finished product still achievable.

A historic water leak had damaged the existing flooring and concrete subfloor, but using a moisture tolerant screed and chemical DPM coating kept moisture levels at a safe level that allowed the project to continue on schedule.
