🔨 Joinery Job Complete 🔨

This customer wanted to improve both security and finish to the passageway down the side of their house.

➡️ At the front, the old gate needed extra height to make the access more secure.
➡️ At the rear, the side passage into the garden felt open and unfinished.

By installing two bespoke timber gates, the passageway is now:
✔️ More secure
✔️ Visually complete
✔️ In keeping with the rest of the house

A small change that’s made a big difference to both function and appearance.

✨ From an empty garden bed to the ultimate cosy patio ✨

Last summer we were given a brilliant brief:
Create a small patio outside the ‘man den’ as a birthday surprise 🎂

We started with nothing more than an unused garden bed… and turned it into a functional gravel patio and the perfect little sun trap — ideal for morning coffee ☕ and catching up on the daily paper.

A simple transformation, but one that completely changed how this space is used and enjoyed.

It wont be long before we’re back outside creating more garden spaces for Summer 2026!

✨ Summer Project Spotlight – Woodford ✨
It’s been non-stop here at The Cheshire Handyman over the past few months, and we’ve barely had a moment to pause and appreciate some of the great transformations we’ve delivered earlier this year, how is it December already?!

And of course, the job was all up ladders — so we couldn’t even make use of our brand-new Cheshire Handyman golf umbrellas either! ⛳️☔️

Been a while since my last post as working silly long hours trying to fit everything in.. madness!! A little something from this week, bespoke front and side replacement garage doors made to measure.. zoom in on the first pic to see what was replaced on the front (the red ones!) as I didn’t get a before 🤪

My biggest project yet, my very own kitchen.. I thought I’d never get it done!! A complete transformation giving a nice big open space.. all done on evenings and weekends, taking out a wall and extending into half of the garage. Reconfigured all cupboards, removing the island, full new furniture and decor all finished off with that awesome picture wall. All work, apart from removing the wall and putting the steel in, done by myself. The last pic is (stupidly!) the only one I have of how it initially looked!! 🔨🔧🪚🥰
