What a beautiful day it's been in the glorious winter sunshine, working at one of my favourite clients' properties in Hanningfield.

A simple task today of taking some weight off the lower and mid canopy structural limbs to 3 very old and beautiful oak trees - just to give them a helping hand to prevent limb failure.

And of course, playing with an almost brand new cherry picker from Paramount Platforms, what a brilliant piece of machinery!

Due to further expansion, we now find ourselves looking for another self employed climber to join our team!

We require a self employed sub contract arborist willing to commit to 2 or more days a week in Rettendon, Essex, cm3.

We are a small firm but I own and run 3 businesses so promptness, commitment and reliability are essential, as well as usual tickets, driving licence and towing capabilities.

Good rates of pay available and will be discussed upon application.

Job roles to include mainly but not exclusively climbing and leading a job site, dealing with on site paperwork, client relations on site and all the domestic and council arb work as standard.

Typical work hours 8am - 4pm.

Good experience is required and the ability to think outside the box on tricky sites.

Main role will be to climb, but hedge trimming, site clearances and usual arb work will be included in day to day activities.

Happy new year one and all! I hope this year brings you all the happiness and love you could ask for!

I am recruiting for a labourer to join our team starting in a couple of weeks time.
Job role will include all sorts of general labouring from helping with the tree and fencing business's on site, to general yard duties and so on.
The ability to drive to our yard or very rarely directly to site is a must.
Pay will depend on age and experience but I will consider school leavers age 17 and over who find themselves in limbo for a year or 2.

Your own PPE will be required but this is very basic in our industry, and full details will be given in the interview process.

And that ladies and gentlemen, is that!

We are finished for another year and what a year its been!
Super busy and with a great team behind me, we've absolutely smashed it 👍 💪

A big thank you to my crew, Tom, Louie, Owen, Nathan, Oli and Harry for being part of the best team a boss could ask for. I'm so proud and privileged to have all of you.

An extended thanks to all my clients new and old for continuing to use and believe in us to deliver the very best quality in our industry of tree work.

2023 promises to be even better and busier, with the introduction of new staff, vehicles, chippers and more!

South Hanningfield Tree Surgeons is a name that is now solidly planted in the industry and we will continue to spearhead the competition delivering the highest quality work, with the finest team behind it.
