Before & after: log store roof repair (Little Chalfont)

This log store roof had completely failed, the felt was worn out and letting water in. Left like this, it would only lead to rotten timber and a bigger job.

What I did:
• Removed the old, failed felt
• Repaired damaged timber where needed
• Installed new felt with properly finished edges

Result:
A clean, watertight roof that will protect the structure and extend its life.

If your shed or log store roof is starting to fail, don’t leave it, small jobs turn into expensive rebuilds fast.

Message me to get it sorted.

Before & After: Shed Roof & Full Repaint (Amersham)

Worn felt roof and failing paint, starting to let water in.

Work carried out:
• New felt roof installed
• Minor repairs completed
• Full exterior repaint – Cornish Cream (2 coats)

Result:
Weatherproof, protected, and back to a clean finish.

If your shed is showing signs like this, it needs doing properly before it turns into a bigger job.

Before & after: boundary post replacement after a delivery driver hit it.

The old post was snapped off at ground level, leaving the netting sagging and the edge of the paving vulnerable.

What I did:

• removed the broken timber & cleaned out the base
• installed a new treated post, set solid & plumb
• re-fixed & re-tensioned the netting so it sits straight again
• going back to cement/haunch around the base to smarten the finish & help shed water

If you’ve got a post that’s been hit, rotted or wobbling, message me and I’ll get it sorted before it turns into a bigger repair.

Before & after: 2 rotted fence posts reinforced with galvanised metal spurs.

The timber posts had rotted at ground level (common failure point), which was letting the fence line move. Customer wanted a solid fix but not the concrete spurs without replacing the whole run, so we went with heavy-duty metal post spurs to brace the existing posts.

What I did:

• Cleared back around the bases & prepped the area
• Fitted galvanised metal spurs to stabilise the posts
• Re-fixed the fence line, checked alignment & tested for movement
• Left the area tidy

Result: firm, stable posts again without a full fence replacement.

If your fence is wobbling or posts are starting to rot at the base in Chesham & nearby, message me and I’ll get it sorted.

Before & after: front fence & gate replacement (keeping the original height)

The old gate/fence was tired, uneven & starting to fail at the posts. Customer didn’t want every post replaced and wanted to keep the existing gate height, so the job was to upgrade what mattered most without changing the look.

What I did:
• Removed the old gate & damaged sections
• Replaced the gate, fence panels & the required posts
• Kept the gate height the same as requested
• Aligned, secured & checked for a smooth, solid close

Result: a stronger, straighter fence line with a neat new gate, without altering the original height.

If your gate’s dragging, loose, or the posts are starting to go, message me & I’ll will fix it.

Before & after: rotted fence post replaced.

One of the posts had rotted at ground level, letting the fence section move. I removed the failed post and installed a new treated timber post, set straight and secure, then re-fixed the rails/pickets to bring everything back solid.

This is 1 of 4 posts being replaced on this job, doing it properly now prevents the same issue spreading along the run.

If your fence feels loose or posts are soft at the base, get in touch for a quote.

EPDM shed/flat-roof renewals
If your shed/flat roof is failing (cracks, lifting edges, repeated leaks), a proper EPDM install is a long-term fix—not a patch.

If you want it done in Chesham, send roof dimensions (rough is fine) and a couple of details about access.

Sheds & outbuildings: make them usable again. Soft floors, rotten trims, leaking felt, doors that don’t close—small shed issues turn into scrap quickly. I can repair, reinforce, re-fix, and weatherproof so it’s solid and usable.
If it’s in Chesham, message with a quick description.

Fencing: repairs or full runs replaced
If panels are past it, posts are moving, or the whole run is leaning, patch repairs become false economy. I can assess what’s salvageable vs what should be replaced and price it clearly either way.
