📍 Dalton

Here’s an 1800s property we recently transformed in Dalton. Due to the age of the building, we used traditional lime mortar to carefully repoint the stonework.

The property had previously been repointed with cement, which trapped moisture and was causing the stone to deteriorate over time. By removing the cement and replacing it with lime mortar, we’ve helped protect the masonry and restore the building in a way that aligns with the original construction.

📍Stockton Heath, Warrington

This patio was fully ground out and repointed, giving it a fresh new lease of life ready for summer.

We also rebuilt the steps, relayed 37 Indian sandstone slabs and then we finished with a full chemical clean leaving the customers garden ready for summer 🌞

📍 Ashton in Makerfield

Recently completed this property in Ashton which was suffering from damp issues and blocked air vents caused by cement pointing trapping moisture within the walls.

We carefully removed the defective cement joints and repointed the property using a traditional lime-based mortar, allowing the building to breathe properly once again. We also reinstated the original air vents and carried out full chimney repointing works.

The property is now breathable, water-tight, and protected for many years to come.

Here’s some photos of the front of a property we have recently finished in Leigh. 🏠

Unfortunately, the customer had paid somebody to repoint this property last year, but the work had been carried out incorrectly and the joints were damaged as a result.

We carefully ground out the failed mortar using full dust control and repointed the property properly — restoring the joints and leaving a clean, durable finish that will help protect the home for years to come.

📍 Tarleton

We recently helped bring this beautiful 350 year old cottage in Tarleton back to life 🏡

We repointed it using lime after years of damage to the bricks due to it previously being repointed in cement. The bricks were bursting and damp was setting in. We also replaced 75 bricks, repointed all three chimneys and reinstated the flaunches to keep everything watertight and true to the buildings age. We finished off with a breathable water seal for long term protection.
