Taking a break from golf this week and enjoying a fantastic few days fishing in Looe, Cornwall, with six of my best friends.

What a splendid two-day fishing trip it has been:

🎣 Over 75 kg of sea bass caught in a single day, which we were delighted to give to the skipper.

🎣 Plenty of 25–30 lb conger eels landed throughout the trip.

🏆 Two large ling added to the tally.

🦈 Two magnificent 70 lb blue sharks, both safely released back into the sea.

🐬 Dolphins swimming alongside the boat, making for a truly memorable experience.

🥟 A steady supply of cracking Cornish pasties to keep the crew fuelled throughout the trip.

🤢 The two least successful anglers each day had to eat two fermented duck eggs. I am sorry to report that I had the pleasure of sampling them myself… an experience I won’t be rushing to repeat!

Great fishing, great company, plenty of laughs, and memories that will last a lifetime. Sometimes it’s good to swap the golf course for the open water and enjoy everything the Cornish coast has to offer.

Seven mates, two days, plenty of fish, dolphins, sharks, pasties and laughter. Perfect. 🎣🍻🐬🦈

What a day out charter boat fishing today in looe in 30 degrees heat. The fishing was amazing 75kg of bass great sizes 4-5lb and the skipper landed the first ever tuna 200 kilo and had the rights to sell it.

More recently, I’ve delivered new signage to Hayling Golf Club, one of England’s most respected links courses and regularly recognised among the country’s leading layouts.

I love playing these challenging links courses, but what gives me the greatest satisfaction is knowing that Signs4Golf products are being used and enjoyed at such prestigious clubs.

🏌️‍♂️ Fantastic day at South Hertfordshire Golf Club today.

A huge thank you to everyone at South Herts Golf Club for such a warm welcome. It’s always a pleasure visiting friendly golf clubs, but today’s hospitality was exceptional.

The team kindly loaded up my new charcuterie board, and the Director and I enjoyed a lovely lunch served straight from the board itself — a great way to showcase one of our latest products in a real clubhouse setting.

It’s always rewarding to spend time with clubs that value quality, presentation, and looking after their members and visitors.
