A church in Holland-on-Sea desperately wanted to refurbish their 2 kitchen areas, but had been put off by the crazy high prices that they’d been quoted, until they were put in contact with us.

We were able to design and complete the whole job at a much more realistic price, including supplying all the appliances, and within the timeframes agreed. All the church go-ers were over the moon with what we’d done and are now enjoying preparing all the lunches they hold for the local community.

We’ve been a bit quiet lately, but that’s because we’ve been working on this job in Thorpe-Le-Soken, which as well as gutting the old kitchen and fitting a new one, also involved knocking a wall through (and installing an RSJ) to create a large kitchen diner space, blocking up a doorway, and laying vinyl click flooring throughout. The kitchen features a walk-in larder with motion sensor lighting, and compact laminate worktops.

Big thanks to MH Plumbing & Heating and JB Electrical for their help on the plumbing and electrical work.

A well-known high street brand’s kitchen doors were delaminating, even though they were only a few years old. The customer was not happy with their after-sales service so we replaced them with another brand’s doors, and finished off with new tiling.

We got asked for help recently by a local care home as they’d had some water ingress issues to put it mildly - a missing ceiling and floor in some store rooms!

We removed the ceiling and replaced with fire retardant plasterboard, before skimming and plastering the ceiling. We removed all the damaged floor joists and replaced with new ones, whilst also using DPM on the external supporting wall to prevent any more moisture damage to the new joists.

We’ve just finished this single garage conversion into a home office/counselling room for our customer.

The internal stud walls and ceiling have been packed with foil-backed insulation and a cavity gap left in the walls for services. We installed a floating floor using DPM membrane and foil-backed insulation. The walls were then plaster-boarded and skimmed.

The customer wanted a space at the front of the garage for her freezer, lawnmower etc so we put a dividing wall with locking door into the main area. We also installed a door to the side of the garage for access via the garden and a window to the rear to provide natural light. A dedicated fuse board was also installed and internet services hard-wired.

Been a busy week for Ben and Paul, finishing off a decorating job started the previous week, and then helping Mikey the plumber start his garden project. We’ve been breaking up a concrete base and shifting about 12 tonnes of type 1 aggregate over the last couple of days!
