Until a few weeks ago, this room was a kitchen. Now it’s a gorgeous dining room ready to host its first Christmas meal.
We finished this in Railings by on the walls and woodwork and Portland Stone Pale by on the ceiling.
Plenty of discussion happened previously about whether it would be too dark, but we think it makes for a super cosy and intimate dining space. What do you think?

A lovely little quick ‘walls only’ facelift of this cosy Christmassy lounge today in St Andrews. This was our first time using .ellis paint and what a treat it was - lovely opacity, low odour and a beautiful matt finish. This shade is Banyan Blue.

We’re working on a special project at the moment, a beautiful huge house that we started decorating four years ago, and now are finishing off the last few rooms. We did this cinema/playroom in a lovely deep shade Trafalgar Grey.
It was surprising how light the room still feels despite the dark shade, whilst still being perfect for evening movie nights.
The mural was not our handywork this time, but the work of our client Clare - one advantage to working in the home of an interior designer.
