We had a great time working on this one, giving a traditional property a sympathetic facelift whilst retaining the character. There was a huge amount of work involved in replacing 13 windows, 2 bay windows, a French door cut out, composite back door and a roof Velux.
We put a new RSJ in to support the upstairs bay beneath which we cut out to fit the new French doors leading to the garden.
We supplied and fitted a new Velux to replace the old single glazed leaking one!
We also uncovered a lot of rotten timber in the upstairs bay which we fully replaced with new.
A standout feature was the beautiful lead work and stained glass to the front of the property which the owner was keen to keep as close to the original design and colours as the possible which we managed to achieve and looks stunning 🤩
All aspects of this job, joinery, steel work, plastering, brickwork and rendering and of course the windows were all carried out by ourselves helping to keep the costs down by eliminating the need for external trades and also keeping the schedule on track so the customer can carry on with their renovations.
