Helen, the magpie, has spent her adult life scouring charity shops and flea markets for hidden gems, from quirky one-off items to design classics, filling her home with treasured discoveries. Throughout several restoration projects, architect and carpenter Grandad Harrison was always on hand to help redesign and reimagine the trickiest of spaces with the simplest, most beautiful and inspiring desi

gn solutions. With Magpie & Harrison, Helen still channel’s her grandfather’s intuitive ingenuity to restore, refine, and reimagine classic pieces of furniture to create unique, beautiful, one-off pieces inspired by each item’s individual story.

A wee upholstery update to this tired beaut to become a gorgeous nursing chair in anticipation a certain young lady’s arrival. Love this textured grey, and that the navy buttons were saved from the original chair for posterity. ..

Magpie and helpers worked their magic on the remainder of the floor earlier. It’s thrilling to see the hut starting to come together, and we cannot wait to be properly occupying it and utilising it’s full potential!
