Been a busy time getting regular weekly, twice monthly and monthly large area grass cuts done recently.

We have the capability to mulch or collect clippings depending on what is required of the land.

Large lawns or acreage paddocks, we can cover both.

We’ve been getting the last of our scheduled spring granular organic based feeds down in the last few weeks.
These lawns are all pre-treatment and show the benefits of working on making the soil healthier as well as slowly feeding the grass plant. None of these have had a “traditional” lawn feed treatment since November 2025!

This is why we are becoming increasingly popular for our biological approach to lawn and soil management, which the franchises shy away from.

There’s still loads we can do for your lawn as we move towards summer. Get in touch today.

Topdressing is one of the best ways to improve your lawn beyond just surface appearance 👇🏻

✔️ Helps level out bumps, dips, and uneven areas
✔️ Improves overall soil structure
✔️ Encourages stronger root development
✔️ Boosts seed-to-soil contact for better overseeding results
✔️ Enhances moisture retention while improving drainage

A revisit today to apply our organic based spring granular feed to a lawn that we worked our magic on last autumn after it had suffered badly through the summer heat.
Considering the dry weather we have been having, it is looking thick and healthy with our customised treatments.

What happens when the landscaper uses a vibrating roller or plate to consolidate the soil for a new lawn? It creates an impermeable crust that’s what!

We were called by the gardener to look at this lawn at a lovely wellness retreat. It is very sparse, yellowing and was getting waterlogged with the smallest amount of rain.
Our investigations found that there was a solid crust of around 1.5” in depth that even with mechanical help was very very hard to get through so water, air and nutrients would really struggle!

To break the crust we aerated in 3 directions with our fracture tine aerator until we achieved a satisfactory depth.

Due to the nature of the crust, the soil had turned anaerobic so was also suffering from a lack of beneficial biology. We applied our Biology Boost treatment to put back the good bacteria and fungus into the soil.

It’s now all ready for the gardener to level areas out and overseed.

Why do we love our Vredo Turf Buddy Overseeder so much?

1• it accurately meters the seed out so you always get the same amount every time.

2• the cutting action of the discs means the seed is accurately placed where we want it to be. No overspill into borders or anywhere where it shouldn’t be!

3• as the seed is placed in the ground, soil to seed contact is maximised which means we get the best germination rates possible out of any overseeder

4• with the seed safely in the soil, it is hidden from view from birds which can soon decimate newly applied seed!

5• it can be used directly onto lawns to help thicken them up, or after a scarification renovation to fill in barer areas easily.

6• unlike most overseeders other companies use that are basically scarifiers with seed hoppers on, there is no mess once our seeder has been through the lawn. The discs simply cut a slit, the seed accurately drops in, and then the wheel rolls the slit to close it up slightly.

A different challenge with this lawn!
It had been taken over by moles, creating a dangerous lawn due to the amount of runs under the lawn.
The ground was incredibly soft and undulating, so it had to be compacted back down to try and consolidate the soil. The runs were trod in and then the whole lawn carefully rolled. Some top quality topsoil was laid to level it all up and then seeded with a shaded seed mix.
It’s now back to a safe, level lawn for the family to enjoy.
