I had some help in the garden today digging out box-leaf honeysuckle. She definitely understood the mission!

The warmer weather yesterday brought out the birds and butterflies. I spotted the first homey bees that I've seen this year, plus a red admiral and a brimstone sitting on beautiful glory-of-the-snow flowers.

First Dirt Watch post of the year - a queen buff-tailed bumblebee that I disturbed while digging a raised bed yesterday. I heard it before I saw it, then left it alone. Hopefully no harm done.

The heavy rain yesterday gave me an opportunity to focus on designing, shopping and planting up five of these lovely window boxes with a mix of perennials and autumn bedding. Please get in touch if you would like me to do something similar for you. I'm also taking bookings for garden designs and border designs over winter. Again, please get in touch to find out more.
