That time of the year again ❄️ here at Kerr Seasonal Services we provide a full winter gritting & snow clearance service right across Northern Ireland using calibrated gritters and manually hand salting hard to reach areas and pathways. We use met office site specific weather reports to ensure gritting is only carried out when required, using pure white rock salt which disolves without a mess. We also supply,fit & fill salt/grit bins and can supply salt in 25kg bags or tonne bags delivered to your site.

Work Location: Various Council Areas Across Northern Ireland
Contract Type: Seasonal (April – November)
Employment Type: Self-Employed
Pay: Competitive Rate (Based on Experience)

About Kerr Seasonal Services:

Kerr Seasonal Services is a well-established provider of grounds and environmental maintenance across Northern Ireland. We work with local government departments and private companies to deliver high-standard w**d control & ground’s maintenance services, helping to keep public spaces clean, safe, and visually maintained.

The Role:

We are currently recruiting a Quad W**d Spraying Operative to join our seasonal team on a self-employed basis. This role involves the safe and efficient application of herbicides to road kerb edges and surrounding areas within various council districts across Northern Ireland.

Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Safely operate quad bike-mounted spraying equipment for targeted w**d control
• Apply herbicides in accordance with current legislation and environmental best practices
• Complete scheduled spraying routes independently and efficiently
• Maintain accurate records of chemical usage and daily work logs
• Perform routine equipment checks and basic maintenance
• Carry out knapsack spraying where quad access is restricted

Requirements:
• Valid CSR card (desirable but not essential)
• Valid PA1 & PA6 certificates (desirable but not essential)
• Full UK driving licence is necessary
• Experience in quad operation and w**d spraying (desirable but not essential – training provided)
• Awareness of health & safety procedures for outdoor environments
• Physically fit and comfortable working in all weather conditions
• PPE will be provided and must be worn at all times when carrying out works
