It's not very often that we get excited by a paint but... Omg!! Coatpaint.com is amazing!!! Two of our customers this week have chosen this paint and its been a dream! The samples come as adhesive backed paper and matches the paint 100% and each tin comes in its own cotton bag and wooden stirrer. Brilliant!

Sometimes we get to see some awful 'bodge' jobs. We were asked to do a hall, stairs and landing and was asked if we could try and improve the look of a porch ceiling done by someone off Check a Trade after a roof leak. To be Frank... it wasn't just awful to look at, it was dangerous. There was, literally, a slab of 1 inches of plaster waiting to fall on someones head. And fall it did... after just one push :-/ I was lucky that Kim was there to grab one part of the slab as I was stood holding it all up on my own. What was underneath was even worse.... nothing but rotten wood. We built a new framework and finished it off with plasterboard and a textured paper. It looks so much better and we no longer have to worry about it falling down on someone's head!

We don't always have a good canvas to start with.... preparation is 9/10ths of a good job!
