A few of the interesting things we’ve had in the yard this week… garden edgings are flying out at the minute!

I’ve also got these really unusual “egg and dart” corbel bricks, which were originally used on the top course on a wall, often seen on old terraced houses. Plus, a batch of these nice white glazed bricks!

Sometimes, you just need some extra muscle to get the job done! These sandstone steps are about 250kg each!

These beautiful stones have been delivered to one of our repeat customers, and they will make an absolutely stunning set of steps in the garden… Getting them there will be interesting though!

A few interesting bits in this week- buff crown chimney pots, we don’t see them very often now!

This pallet of red bricks has been sold before I even finished sorting them!

Plus, I thought this quarry tile was interesting- somebody, at some point in history has lined the floor with newspaper! You can see the remnants of a car.

Wood, wood and MORE WOOD!

We collected a huge load of hardwood yesterday, and the shed is full! We’ve had to rearrange some things, and put new racks up to store it all! There is a great variety here including:

Oak
Ash
Spalted beech
Yew (lots of it!)
Acacia
Sycamore
Lime
Chestnut
Apple
Cherry
Elm

There’s even a full load waiting to go into the kiln, so in a few weeks the shed will be bursting at the seams!!

In fact, we’ve had so much new stock recently these bricks have had to go in the car park!! Big tidy up coming once the new pallet racking is finished!

Great day for quarry tiles! I’ve had 70 of these 9x9” Staffordshire blues dropped off, with a couple of hundred more to come. These are hard to get now, and always sell well.

Plus, a sample of these amazing red’s, these are about as good as they get, and I’m expecting at least a couple of hundred to come out of an ongoing demolition clearance!
