The fabulous Marine Wallhanging is intricately appliquéd and hand-embroidered in great detail with an array of sea creatures, fish, and seaweed, culminating in an exquisite work of art, destined to become an heirloom of the future. Made from deep inky blue felt wool, it is hand-stitched using French knots, chain stitch and blanket stitch on cream motifs, depicting imagery of life under the sea.
It brings a beautiful ethereal quality to a space, above a sofa, behind a bed or as a dreamy backdrop to a cocktail bar. It has nine 5cm hanging loops along the top, and it is finished with 18 wool tassels along the lower edge. All that’s required to display it is a narrow metal or wooden curtain pole - or simply a length of dowelling to thread through the hanging loops, plus some cord or thick ribbon.
