Malone Garden.

This small space is to the rear of an Edwardian house in Malone, Belfast. The secret of design for an Edwardian garden is that it should feel connected to the house both in terms of materials and aesthetics. I have shown below, the finished plan and the two other concepts that were originally presented to the client as well as designs for the Edwardian style gates, fence and seat details which were all designed by myself.

Dromore Garden.
This property joins onto land at the rear and the client had requested that this area provide views into the fields beyond. I suggested removing part of the hedge on top of the bank, introducing steps and installing Estate style fencing for an unrestricted view and easy access to the land beyond. The whole view would then be framed by the introduction of trees on either side of the steps and gateway.

Airbnb Garden. Strangford.
Property required a space where Airbnb clients could rest and unwind after a day exploring Strangford and the surrounding area. The porcelain paving and the horizontal fencing embrace the more traditional existing stone wall in this vision of modern and traditional. The design incorporated both front and rear of house spaces.

Cultra Garden, Co. Down.

This house is due to be built on the site of an old tennis court. My design had to take into account that the garden is in close proximity to the Sea and this has an impact on the type of planting chosen. The house is modern and the garden has to reflect that.

Below features images of the site before the build, three different proposals presented in 'rough' form to the client and the final approved design plan.

Strangford Garden.

This is the design for my latest garden in Strangford, I have designed a number of gardens in the village now, all of them challenging and very interesting because of the various shapes and elevations. This garden consisted of ground level patio and high level planting and seating areas accessed by steps.
