Hedge trimming today, careful not to cause further damage than it already had as Leyland cypress hedges do not tend to grow new foliage on old wood, trimming too deep causes browning that will not usually reverse. 🐞 I have never come across so many ladybirds in one hedge, they were flying away as I got along, also saved a lot of the slower ones. I believe at least a few hundreds, at the top of the hedge mainly, hence why I have no photos.

Planting a wee "retired" Christmas tree that had lived in that tub for at least 5 years, surviving as good as it could, now it can finally spread it's roots. Hopefully not too much though 🌲

Some of last week's work:
Hydrangea petiolaris /climbing hydrangea - deaheaded and removed growth that was trailing up the wall. Been careful to not remove the buds that are already there for next year's flowers.
Also cut back a small ash tree that self seeded behind the fence, pruned some shrubs, crown lifting where needed, lots of ivy removed or cut back as well.
