Some rather smart Holm Oak screens from Italy added to a planting scheme I did last year. They are in keeping with the modern/topiary theme and provide some more privacy for the clients.

Today I finished installing steel and sleepers to retain the garden above. The previous TGV dung boarding had rotted out and was not really suitable for the job. The trellis is now up and ready for the sweet peas!!!

At last some planting again!

Here I removed some overgrown Hebes, Agapanthus and a funny shaped Acer and replaced them with a range of topiary. The clients wanted something neat with impact at the front of the property.

After Mondays rain we had a change of direction and tackled this little project at the Sportsmans Arms Dartmouth. The old rockery was taking up to much space and had a large Phormium obstructing the view from the terrace. We took everything out and built a sleeper retaining wall. We also had to put new posts in for the glass balustrading as the original posts had rotted out.

Board walk complete!

Today the board walk was completed. We used sawn larch boards and are very pleased with the outcome so far. Our next job is cutting back the rather overgrown hedge on the boundary and then constructing a rustic fence using slab wood.
