This is one of my favourite sketchbook spreads ever. I guess maybe because of the story behind it but also just the vast landscape with the line if sheep brings me so much joy. I do want to attempt to make this into a proper painting one day!

I can't believe I painted this in 2024! It's not even spring yet and I am pining to create more autumn paintings but better! I am so happy to say that I can see so much about this painting that I would do differently now! I won't say it's bad, because it is not! Its a sketchbook painting that took me an hour but it is lacking depth. I could push the shadows, highlights a detail 10x more than this. But what do I expect from an hour in my sketchbook? Excited to spend more time on my paintings and elevate their quality.

Picked up my sketchbook for the first time in 8 months! Managed to squeeze a wee 45 minute gouache sketch in today.

Coming to the realisation that YouTube was stopping me from creating art was so freeing! So for now, I'm just going to paint.
