Looking back on 2025, we’re incredibly proud of the difference we’ve been able to make together with our local community. From gardens and green spaces to wellbeing projects, sports clubs, and schools — every donation has helped create positive change where it matters most.

This year, we’ve supported 19 different charities and community groups, donating nearly 100 bags of soil, compost, and mulch to help grow community gardens, improve public spaces, and support therapeutic and social projects across Dorset and the New Forest.

Thank you to every charity, volunteer, and community group that reached out to us. Your work strengthens communities and brings people together, and we’re honoured to play a small part in it.

Here’s to another year of growing and giving. 🌱

If you’d like tulips, daffodils or hyacinths greeting you next spring, now is the time to get them in the ground! Autumn planting gives bulbs the cold period they need to establish roots before the frosts arrive.

While you’re planting, it’s worth checking your beds and borders. Adding a layer of fresh compost & mulch will not only help your bulbs thrive but also improve the health of your garden going into winter.

Our range includes high-quality compost, enriched soils, and natural mulches — all available on our website. A little preparation now means a more colourful, resilient garden next spring. 🌷

4 Landscaping Trends for 2025!

The landscaping world is constantly evolving, with new designs, materials, and technologies shaping how outdoor spaces are crafted and enjoyed. As we step into 2025, here’s a look at some top landscaping trends to inspire your next project and help you plan ahead.

🦔Sustainable Landscaping
• Using plants that support the natural ecosystem and wildlife.
• Use recycled landscape products made from organic material to feed your plants

🍀Low-Maintenance Landscapes
• Clover lawns require less mowing, are drought-tolerant and are great for bees & pollinators.
• Xeriscaping with drought-tolerant plants and rocks to reduce watering needs

🌳Naturalistic Hardscapes
• Reclaimed Materials - Using salvaged stone, wood, or bricks for pathways and walls.
• Textured Finishes - Rough-hewn or natural-looking surfaces for patios and driveways.
Earthy Tones - Neutral colour palettes that complement outdoor environments.

🎨Personalised Spaces
• Custom-built structures like gazebos or meditation nooks.
• Bold colour schemes and artistic features, such as sculptures or murals.
• Multi-functional areas for hosting, relaxing, and recreation.

Winter might not seem like the ideal time to start a garden, but it’s actually a perfect opportunity to lay the groundwork for a thriving spring and summer!

Plan Your Garden Layout 🗺️
Use the winter days to sketch your layout, decide where each plant will go, and ensure you’re maximising space and sunlight.

Learn and Research 📚
Explore gardening books, blogs, and videos to expand your knowledge and learn about plants, soil health, and the best ways to improve biodiversity.

Build and Prepare Garden Beds 🛠️
Use the offseason to construct or repair your garden beds. Whether it’s raised beds or traditional rows, prepping now saves valuable time come spring.

Install Hardscaping 🏡
Lay pathways, install trellises, or set up garden borders while the plants are dormant. These foundational touches will make your garden functional and aesthetically pleasing.

Embrace Indoor Gardening 🌿
Bring the joy of gardening indoors with houseplants, herbs, or even a mini hydroponic system. It keeps your green thumb busy and your home vibrant during the colder months!
