Its that time of year to cut back the lavender. You can use secateurs or scissors to prune down to about an inch above the wood. This cut will help with air circulation. Also, trim away any dead or damaged stems for a tidier look. What will you do with your freshly cut stems? I'm drying mine out to put into homemade scented bags but the flower buds can be baked into sweet treats too once dried, yum 😋

Wow this fennel. Started off as a sprightly bulb (a seed just happened to be in the compost I put in the border) and has now grown to the same height as me! I'll be planting some grasses soon alongside it but also love the yellow against the grey 🤍💛 Get in touch if you'd like some leaves to munch or seeds to plant!
