A lot goes on behind the scenes with these sessions.
Long days in the water,
early starts,
and plenty of energy needed to keep things running smoothly.

It’s not just about teaching swimming,
it’s about creating the right environment
where children feel comfortable enough to give it a go.

Some take to it straight away,
others need a bit more time,
and that’s all part of it.

We asked some of the children a simple question: “Have you ever been swimming before?” 🏊‍♀️ Their answers show exactly why programmes like Pools4Schools are so important. Children start with us at all different levels - some have never been in a pool before, while others already have some confidence in the water. That’s what makes this journey so special. Every child learns at their own pace, building skills, confidence, and a love for swimming along the way!

We are diving into The Education People Show 2025 this November! 💦 Khicksters Pools 4 Schools will be exhibiting at the Kent Event Centre on 12th November - come find us at stand G49!

Swimming is not “just another activity” for children. It’s a life skill. And honestly? It blows my mind that in 2025, so many children still leave school not knowing how to swim!

Drowning is one of the leading causes of accidental death in children worldwide. And yet, thousands of kids across the UK never get proper swimming lessons because of barriers like cost, access to facilities, or simply not having the chance.

That is where Pools4Schools comes in. We literally bring the pool to the children, building temporary pools right at their schools so every child has the opportunity to learn. No buses, no cost barriers, no excuses. Just children gaining confidence, learning water safety, and having fun.

It is not about creating the next Olympic swimmer (though hey, you never know 👀). it is about making sure every single child knows what to do if they are ever in or near water. It’s about building confidence, resilience, and a skill that could one day save their life.

I’m so passionate about this because I have seen the difference it makes! Every child deserves the right to feel safe in and around water. 🌊✨
