It's always poignant 'putting gardens to bed' for winter. A whole season of nurturing and care and pride winds down until the new season starts again in February/March. Looking forward to seeing these gardens again soon.

If you listen really carefully you can hear the faint sigh of relief from the lawns 😊. Hallelujah!

Some before and after photos of a recent project in Willingdon.
Alison gave us a great opportunity to produce a spectacular front of house, corner plot plant plan (brilliantly created by Floyd James).
This completed her garden, with the hard landscaping well created by Tidy Gardens.
We look forward to seeing this garden develop during this season & many seasons to come.

Using recycled sleepers from an unwanted vegetable patch (recycling and also saving my customer money) I created this built up corner bed (or potential rockery). I also used trellis panels for planting of climbing plants as well as acting as a screen for the new trampoline play area (in progress), which will now put to good use the area vacated by the forementioned veg patch.

This is an ongoing project that I'm really enjoying seeing take shape.
Steve.

Hi everybody,
Check out the thumbnail link below for amazing, innovative, garden designs and highly skilled landscaping.
If you like what you see, please spare a couple of minutes voting for this excellent Sussex based company and let's get them to 'best in business' nationally, for garden design & landscaping.
Kind regards,

Some tips for this week...
- Start planning your summer displays now, making notes on which plants you would like to grow from seed and start ordering them from catelogues now.
- Complete pruning of all Climbing and Rambling Roses.
- In good weather, continue planting hardy trees and shrubs.
Avoid walking on lawns or pruning fruit trees when it's frosty (obviously there is unlikely to be frost with all this rain however).
- If you have Bay trees growing in tubs, move them to a sheltered spot near the house or inside a greenhouse to keep them away from cold, aggressive winds.
- Continue to shape all trees and shrubs to maintain a tidy looking garden throughout the winter months. There will be little growth at this time, giving them a good starting shape in the Spring.
